Gladys Irene Kaczor, 89, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, Waterloo. Services: 7 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial at Garden of Memories, at a later date

Gladys Irene Kaczor was born July 4, 1923, in Kidder County, Robinson, N.D., the daughter of Chrest and Katie (Schumacher) Gaub.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter in infancy; two brothers and four sisters.
Gladys is survived by two sons, Ronald (Karen) Atwood of Waterloo and Dennis (Pat) Atwood of Longmont, Colo.; two daughters, Rhonda Novak of Cedar Rapids and Valerie Meyer of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Violet Boileau of Denver, Colo.
Her greatest joy was her family and the time they spent with her.
We love her and will greatly miss her.
