JUSTIN AMENT
Marion
Justin B. Ament, 35, of Marion, passed Monday, Dec. 8, 2014. Due to circumstances beyond the family's control and the holidays, memorial services will be held at a later date.
Born June 13, 1979, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Justin was known as an upbeat, witty, playful man whose smile would light up a room. He was sadly taken from us too soon and will be missed by many.
Justin's greatest love was his only daughter, Leona, who was the light of his life.
Preparing to graduate from Kirkwood Com-munity College on the Dean's list in May, Justin was working hard to improve his and his daughter's lives. In what little free time he had, he could be found enjoying himself watching the Steelers, playing pool or singing karaoke. He was also a devoted member of the HARDCORE Concepts Car Club for 15+ years.
Survivors include his dauther, Leona Ament; uncles, Steve Petsel, Andrew Petsel (who Justin called Pops), John (Barb) Shultz and Jon (Jayne) Ament; aunt, Joy Ament; cousins, Shannon Willett and fiance Cayle Campbell, Hanna (Drew) Wood, Kyle Petsel, Aaron Petsel, Emily Ament, Natalie Ament, Olivia Goeman-Willett, Reagan Tedford, Breanne Tedford, Auliver Wood and Leona's mother, Jennifer Tapken.
Justin was preceded in death by his parents, James Ament and Deb Ament-Hoffpauir; grandparents, John and Patricia Ament and Denny and Betty Jo Brogan; and aunt, Wendy Petsel.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be sent to a memorial fund set up in Justin's name where all proceeds would go to his daughter, Leona, at Hills Bank and Trust.
