June Johnson Geiger, 89, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Amana, passed away peacefully May 9, 2015, with her family by her side.
June was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Stanwood, Iowa, to the late Clifford and Frieda Johnson.
Survivors include her son, Larry (Cynthia) Crock; granddaughters, Denise (Andy) Helle and Amanda (Andre) Ingram; stepchildren, Pam (Allan) Knott, and their sons, Kory and Barry; and Philip (Sharon) Geiger, and their daughters, Kristen and Katy. Also surviving are her sister, Jenira Thien, and her children; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; niece, Melinda; brother-in-law, Melvin; and her parents.
A private family service will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials should be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
