Julie K. Klein, 68, of Fairfax, Iowa, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2022. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Private burial will be held at the Hala Cemetery in rural Fairfax.
Julie was born Aug. 13, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John Edward and Mary Anne (Karal) Earsa. She graduated from Prairie High School.
Julie enjoyed poetry, photography and listening to music, especially the blues. She had a green thumb and loved tending to her flower garden. Julie was an animal lover who will be missed by her cat companions. Dooley and Annie.
Julie is survived by her aunt, Betty Lou Upmier of Marion, as well as several cousins.
Julie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Mary; and her grandparents, Rudolph and Lillian Karal and Charles and Frances Earsa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Julie's name may be made to Cedar Valley Humane Society.
