Julie was born on July 4, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Gale and Jo Ann (Stanek) Moore. She graduated from Prairie High School. On October 3, 1981, Julie was united in marriage to Michael Conley in Cedar Rapids. They later divorced. A devoted paraeducator at Linn-Mar Schools, Julie touched the lives of countless children throughout her career. Her dedication to education was matched only by her love for the Lord and her deep appreciation for family. An accomplished baker and cook, Julie found great satisfaction in the kitchen, delighting in preparing meals that brought loved ones together. She enjoyed the simplicity of going on walks, relishing the beauty of nature, and often visited local Farmer's Markets. Julie was a big fan of "Anne of Green Gables," and appreciated stories that celebrated imagination and kindness, much like the warmth she shared with everyone in her life. She was always eager to celebrate, whether it was hosting a lively early morning coffee party with her daughters and friends, after a swift vacuuming, and always looked forward to her hair washing day. Most of all, she cherished the moments spent with her family, creating memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. Julie's legacy will live on through the many lives she impacted with her warmth, love, and unwavering commitment to nurturing those around her.
Julie is survived and lovingly remembered by her four children, Matt (Elyssa) McDowell of Marion, Sarah (Charles) Roberts of Marion, Alison (Shawn) Graham of Marion, and Laura (Cameron) Cook of Aplington, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Samantha Conley of Cedar Rapids; 18 grandchildren, Caleb, Gunther, Larkin, Cordelia, Ryan, Mitchell, Olivea, Piper, Kourtney, Hunter, Benson, Landen, Avri, Kane, Annaleah, Clarissa, Bjoern, and Reacher; three brothers, Michael (Vicky) Moore, Tim (Carrie) Moore, and James (Roseanne) Moore; and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Conley; and brother, Patrick Moore.
