Judy Marie Kaufman, 72, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, at her home. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Private burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
Judy was born April 20, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Ed and Pauline (Bittle) Pulda. She attended Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. Judy was united in marriage to John O’Connor Sr.,= from 1967 to 1981. She was married to David Kaufman from 1985 until his passing in 2008. She worked at Cryovac from 1974- to 1989 as a Hand Clip Operator and later Bag Machine Inspector. She enjoyed traveling, gambling, having a cup of coffee and a cigarette and, most of all, spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her son John (Tammy) O’Connor; her sister Patty (Robin) Honn; her grandchildren Megan Valentine-O’Connor, Josh O’Connor, Jacob, Aubree O’Connor and Jett Meeks, Justice, Madison and Mackenzie Fowler, Wesley and Leah Kaufman; great-grandsons Jayden and Jameson O’Connor; stepson Mike (Barb) Kaufman; stepdaughter Brenda (Randy) Fowler; nieces and nephews Gary Honn Jr., Rhonda Swift-Stone, Kathy Cleppe, and Robert (Melissa) Hood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dave, her son Jason O’Connor, grandson Jackson O’Connor, her brothers Ed Pulda and Gary Honn, her sister Linda Chesmore, and her stepfather Kenneth Honn.
