Judy Jay Sun, age 71, of Marion, IA, passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids on Monday, June 16, 2025, surrounded by her family.
A private committal service will be held at the Oliphant Cemetery on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11 AM.
Judy was born on March 26, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Prochaska) Buchanan. On March 26, 1988, Judy married the love of her life, Shu Lun Sun in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Those left to cherish Judy’s life are her husband, Shu Lun Sun, her daughters, Anna Angelica Sun and Meimee Alyssa Sun, and her cats, Jadey, Lacey, Clawdia, and Lilith. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Johnnie Buchanan, Jr., Dan Buchanan, and Tom Buchanan.
Judy wants everyone to know:
I love my family and want them to take care of each other. I’m sorry to leave you, don’t be sad. I love you all, God Be With You.
