JUDY HOWARD
Iowa City
Judy Howard, 74, passed away July 12, 2021. Judy's family will receive guests for a visitation at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, 2720 Muscatine Ave., Iowa City, on Friday, July 16, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Judy was born Nov. 10, 1946, the daughter of Bernadette Ryan Rebal and Leonard Rebal. Judy always was a strong personality. She knew what she wanted and was driven to achieve it and allowed herself to be a little stubborn if it was best for her and her family. She also was loving. She cared deeply for plants and animals. She would spend time in her garden cultivating the beauty around her and enjoying the birds. When she wasn't gardening or enjoying her family or cats, she could also be found shopping. The HyVee may be in some trouble now that she's not here to support them!
Surviving Judy is her cherished husband of 44 years, Gene; children, Greyson (Sara) Ryan Howard and Nathan Curtis Howard; grandchildren, Katlyn Marie Howard, Hayden Eugene Howard, Hayley Mae Howard, Olivia Judith Howard, Gabriel Beck Howard and Tylyn E. Halter; great-grandchildren, Aubrie and Valerie; and sister, Pam (Dave) Seydel. Sadly, Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Joanne and Lenny.
Memorial contributions in Judy's memory are suggested to the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center. Memories and condolences may be expressed at Judy's obituary page at www.gayandciha.com.
