Judith Specht, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 8, 2024, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab. As per Judith’s wishes, private family services will be held at a later date. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Judith was born November 24, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Clark and Rosalie (Spicer) Luedeman. She was united in marriage to Julien Philip Specht on February 28, 1961, in Iowa City. Judy was a volunteer EMT in Cloud Croft, New Mexico for many years. She enjoyed hiking, collecting butterflies, tending to her cats, and most of all spending time with her family.
Judy is survived by her daughter Jackie (Jerry) Dennis; her grandchildren Justin (Jamie) Lusk, Joshua (Jill) Lusk, Dallas (Amber) Lusk and Ronnie Lusk, Keaton Dennis, Wyatt Hyde, Amber (Thomas) Kirk, Kaine Armstrong; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters Vickie Berger and Janice Taravella; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Julien and her sons Jeffrey and David Specht.
