Judith Rae North, 78, of Vinton, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at her home in Vinton. Memorial service:
11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Believers in Grace Fellowship in Marion, with visitation
one hour before the service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date.
Judy was born Oct. 23, 1938, the daughter of Raymond and Phyllis (Stocks) Allison, in Charles City, Iowa. She graduated in 1956 from Charles City High School, where she was a cheerleader for four years. On Feb. 22, 1958, she was married to Robert North. Judy worked as a cashier for Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids for over 20 years. She also worked for MCI as a long-distance operator.
Judy proudly volunteered for Mercy and St. Luke's hospitals, having logged over 5,000 hours. She was a member of Believers in Grace Fellowship, where she became a born-again Christian.
Survivors include her husband, Robert North Sr.; daughter, Leslie (Pastor David) Kebschull; son, Robert (Cindi) North Jr.; and seven grandchildren, Lauren (Luke) Kebschull, Whittney Kebschull, Micah Kebschull, Joel (Sarah) North, Benjamin North, Allison North and Emily (Alex) Steffen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Page.
