Judith "Judy" L. Keating, 75, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at home following a brief illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with the Very Rev.
Rudolph Juarez officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or the Regina Foundation.
Judy was born July 8, 1939, in Anamosa, the daughter of Ralph and Florence Kehoe Ditch. She attended the University of Iowa. On Oct. 6, 1967, Judy married Cletus Keating in Iowa City.
Judy had been an LPN at Mercy Iowa City for 28 years, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Mercy Hospital Guild, where she volunteered.
Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her loving husband, Cletus; their daughter, Michelle "Shelly" (P.J.) Conlon of Iowa City; three grandchildren, Mackenzie "Mac," Michael and Claire; two siblings, Arlan "Arnie" Ditch of Monticello and Connie Meade of Anamosa; sisters-in-law, Joann Ditch of Arlington, Texas, and Phyllis Ditch of Anamosa; and nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Erin Christine; and her brothers, Terry and Jeff Ditch.
