JUDITH "JUDY" (ATWOOD) REEDY
Vinton
Judith "Judy" (Atwood) Reedy, 65, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
No public funeral services are planned at this time.
Judy was born on June 17, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Jerry and Jean (Moneypenny) Atwood. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School in 1974. On May 9, 2002, she married Robert Reedy in Cedar Rapids.
Judy was employed in a variety of jobs over the years, largely clerical in nature. Judy most enjoyed her family and loved spending time with them. Judy also loved her pets - very little in life made her happier than playing with them. Judy especially loved to share her meals with Mater, her dog that came into the family a few months before her death. He came to her at just the right time in her life. We all will miss her and we all love her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Reedy of Vinton; children, Misty Griffith of Cedar Falls, Shane Griffith of Waterloo, Anita Shannon of Waterloo, Brandon Reedy of Waterloo and Porter Straw-Reedy of Charles City; 10 grandchildren; her parents, Jerry Atwood of Cedar Rapids and Jean Henchal of Cedar Rapids; brother, Michael (Patricia) Atwood of Lumber Bridge, N.C.; and sister, Carol (Jerry) Dunham of Marietta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother Maggy Atwood; and stepfather, Donald Henchal.
