JUDITH A. HARRINGTON
Marion
Judith Ann (Freeman) Harrington, 74, of Marion, lost her courageous battle with Parkinson's disease surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018. A Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
Judy was born in Davenport, Iowa, on July 20, 1943, to Grady and Delores Freeman. She graduated from Davenport West High School in 1961. She then studied at and graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing in 1963. On Aug. 22, 1964, she married Michael Harrington at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Davenport. She worked as a nurse and then as an Avon lady for the next 40 years of her life, when she developed loving and lasting friendships with many of her dear friends.
Judy's greatest love was her family. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mike Harrington; her daughter, Heather (Rich) Martin and son, Quinn (Valerie) Harrington; five grandchildren, Maggie and Abbie Martin and Anden, Abry and Ruby Harrington; and her stepgrandchildren, Hunter and Courtney Livingston. Her surviving siblings are Franc (Sally) Freeman, Sandy (Howard) Fedler and Melvin (SueDee) Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Delores Freeman; her brothers, Bill and Danny Freeman; and her nephew, Bob Custer.
Her family would like to thank the caregivers at Northbrook Manor for their compassionate care of Judy.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but we are comforted by the knowledge that she is Judy once again.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at www.michaeljfox.org.
Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.cedarmemorial.com under Obituaries.
