Judith Fern Wilkins, 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at her home. Visitation: 4 – 6 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial: Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Ryan, Iowa.
Judy was born November 7, 1943, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Dorothy (Davis) Hartman. She graduated from West Delaware High School. Following graduation, she worked at Quaker Oats for a short time before marrying Frank A. Wilkins on March 20, 1970.
They then opened her craft store that she ran for 20+ years before getting her accounting degree and going to work for and retiring from the Cedar Rapids Community School District.
Survivors include her children, Frank (Sara) Wilkins II of Center Point, Iowa, Aimee Sue Wilkins of Cedar Rapids, and Dawn (John) Nelson of Anamosa, Iowa; mother, Dorothy Hoffmann of Manchester, Iowa; siblings, Richard (Joann) Hartman of Ryan, and Cheryl Voelker of Manchester; grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, Ashlyn, Alivia, Erin, Kamden, Adrian, James and Travis; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Moo and Princess.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Hartman; husband, Frank Wilkins; and daughter, Ann Marie Wilkins.
Judy was the most kind-hearted person to everyone she met, and she was the backbone of her family, that she loved dearly.
