Judith "Judi" Errickson, 58, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Cedar Rapids Seventh Day Adventist Church. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer (Marcus Clark) and Katie Errickson (J Newlin); grandchildren, Kylannah and Nikoli Newlin; father, Jim Jorgensen; mother, Sue Jorgensen; siblings, David and Wendy Jorgensen (Penny Behrensmeyer); cat, Freedom; and many extended family members and friends.
Judith Faye Jorgensen was born March 12, 1959, in Waterloo to James and Sue (Brocka) Jorgensen. She attended Cedar Falls High School and Malcom Price Laboratory School. She then attended UNI and Kirkwood Community College. Judi worked in home health care for many years.
Judi was a longtime and dedicated member of Cedar Rapids Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a dedicated volunteer and found many opportunities to help others through church and veterans organizations, among others. She enjoyed nature, animals and cats, and was an especially great mother and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed toward a memorial bench in Judi's name.
