Juanita McFarlan, 95, of Sigourney, formerly of What Cheer, died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney.
Survivors include two children, Gary (Barbara)
McFarlan of Altoona and Carolyn Sue (Ron) Merz of Harper; six grandchildren and their children, Kimberly (Doug) Arndt, Alison and Andrew of Indianola, Gregory (Andrea) McFarlan, Keaton and Garrison of Urbandale, Brooke Schmidt of Des Moines and Cathrine Schmidt of New York City, Gregory (Charlene) Merz, Molly and Graham of Minneapolis, Travis Bloomquist of Nebraska, and Christopher Merz, Ben and Matt of Cedar Falls; and five great-great-grandchildren, Autumn, Haley, Abby, Kaydin and Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ford, in 2012; three sisters, Selena Stephenson, Blanche Hicklin and Mildred McKay; and two brothers, George Howard and Warren Howard.
Celebration of Life services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at What Cheer United Methodist Church, with Pastor Vince Homan officiating. Burial: McFarlan Cemetery, What Cheer. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
A memorial fund has been established for the What Cheer United Methodist Church or Keokuk County Hospice.
