JUANITA "JEANNE" DUNGAN
Kechi, Kan.
Juanita "Jeanne" Dungan, 90, died Friday, March 17, 2017, at her son's home in Kechi. She was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Frank Michael and Leona Mae (Drake) Miller.
Jeanne graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1945 and attended college at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. She worked as a telephone operator for AT&T and retired as a dispatch operator for CRST Trucking Co. Jeanne was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed many forms of dancing, especially square dancing. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Wichita, Kan., and Park City Lions Club.
On Aug. 21, 1948, she married Paul Dungan in Hutchinson. He died Oct. 17, 2012.
Jeanne is survived by a daughter, Patsy Moore and husband, Charles "Chuck," of Tucson, Ariz.; sons, Frank and wife, Debbie, of Kechi and Jerry and wife, Sonya, of Park City, Kan.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret Ann Stalcup.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, with Pastor Brad Riley officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at First Church of the Nazarene, 1400 E. Kellogg Dr., Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Park City Lions Club, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
