Joyce Dianne Williams, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at First Presbyterian Church, near Ely, with the Rev. Dr. Julie Schuett presiding. Burial will be Oak Hill Cemetery in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Joyce was born on July 10, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth (Mason) Williams. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie and later at Ellsworth Junior College with a degree in fashion merchandising. Joyce worked at Younkers in Iowa City, Life Investors in Cedar Rapids and currently for Rockwell Collins for over 20 years. She enjoyed tending to her cats, traveling, skiing, line dancing, crafting and most of all spending time with her loving family.
Joyce is survived by her three brothers, Everett (Linda) Williams of Swisher, John (Agnes) Williams of Shueyville and Larry Williams of Shueyville; four nephews, Chad (Tara) Williams, Aaron (Courtney) Williams, Sean (Jody) Williams and Ian (Ana) Williams; one niece, Sarah (Chad) Wendt; great-nieces and nephews, Lily, Ashton, Lauren, Connor and Liam; two stepnephews, Austin and Hunter Wendt; and many relative and special friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
