Joyce M. Frondle, 89, passed away at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House on August 26, 2024. Services will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, August 30 at 1:00 P.M with a visitation prior at 12:00 P.M. A committal service will be held immediately following services at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Mount Moriah.
Joyce was born on October 8, 1934, to Kenneth and Marie Brown. She graduated in 1952 from Roosevelt High School. She married Bob Mathews in 1953. They later divorced but remained good friends until his passing. She married the love of her life, Richard Frondle in 2014. She had been a life member of the VFW, American Legion, and a 60-year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles where she was a past president.
She loved being with family, doing crafts, buying jewelry (especially watches), enjoyed traveling and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Joyce is survived by her children, Beverly Myers, Cathy Ham, Robert (Michelle) Kirk, and Brenda (Pat) Quandt; Grandchildren Melissa (James), Jared, Chad, and Chelsea; seven great-grandchildren; and stepdaughter Carol (Scott) Christianson.
Preceded in death are her husband, Richard Frondle; brother Jack Brown; Granddaughter Misty Hayes; and great-granddaughter Keonna Ryan.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and nurses at Mercy Hospital, especially the care team at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House.
