Joyce Elaine Whitmore, 90, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Northbrook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Per Joyce's request, there will be no visitation nor funeral.
Survivors include Carol (Gary) Thayer of Apache Junction, Ariz., Norman "Dan" (Shirley) Whitmore of Houston, Texas, Stephen (Beverly) Whitmore, and special son, Don (Kris) Schluter, both of Marion. Joyce also is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Vaughn of Logan, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Whitmore; a brother, Wayne Ellingson; and parents, Earl and Eva Ellingson.
Joyce was a loving wife, mom and grandmother, and her family and friends will miss her dearly.
