Joyce "Elaine" Miner Gould, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a long illness. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Inurnment: Koszta Cemetery. Visitation: after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be contributed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.

Elaine is survived by a son, Benjamin (Cindy) of Appleton, Wis.; two daughters, Becky (Mike) Hite of Gresham, Ore., and Christine Carol Gould of Crooks, S.D.; six grandchildren, Lindsay Gould of Cleveland, Ohio, Stephanie (Jon) Weiss of Mbeya, Tanzania, Ashley (Shannon) Scott of Columbus, Ohio, Jeremiah (Katie) Gould of San Diego, Calif., Jessica Hite of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Kelly Hite of Portland, Ore.; and 11 great-grandchildren, Savannah, David, Sophia and Isiah Weiss, Carson Scott, William and Wyatt Gould, Calvin and Jackson Hite, Ada Dawson and Kennedy Murray. Elaine also helped care for and mentor Norma Gould's children, Amy (Tony) Tomash and Lori Gould. Elaine is also survived by four sisters, Sharon (Larry) Lebeda, Sally Wenger, Patsy Irons and Lyn (John) Nebel; two brothers, Jeff (Claudia) Miner and Buck (Heidi) Miner; and many nieces and nephews, including Dennis Gould and Ted (Lisa) Gould and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Velma Buswell Miner; and her husband, Carol "Kelly" Gould, on Sept. 15, 2016.
