Joyce Bellamy, 75, of Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, surrounded by her family. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, with visitation starting an hour before, at Christ Episcopal Church, Cedar Rapids. A private family entombment will follow at Cedar Memorial Mausoleum, Cedar Rapids.
Joyce was born July 26, 1940, to George and Marian Boyer in Des Moines, Iowa. Many of her hobbies included reading, baking, PEO group and ringing her cow bell at football games. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Left to cherish Joyce's memory are her husband of 56 years, Jim Bellamy; children, Christopher J. Bellamy of Cedar Rapids and Jonathan (Kristen) Bellamy of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Katy, Aaron, Alex, Ashely, Krysta and Ben; a brother, Art (Pete) Boyer; nephew, David (Deborah) Boyer; and niece, Kristin (Mark) Gahm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy; and daughter, Amy.
