Joyce Ann Kelsey, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away quietly after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Meth-Wick Woodlands. Services will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation is assisting the family.
Joyce is survived by her children, Laura (John) Ludwig of Columbus, IN, Charles (Stephanie) Kelsey of Cedar Rapids, and Gregory (Lana) Kelsey of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Helen (Darren) Rausch of Logansport, IN, Larry (Cloretta) Rausch of Winamac, IN, Frank (Linda) Rausch of Greenwood, SC; and grandchildren, Joe, Amanda, Sydney, Phillip, Shane, Joel, Marisa, and Jolene.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Kelsey; parents; and siblings, John, Mosey, Danny, Trudy, and Mary.
Joyce was born on March 18, 1944, daughter of Francis and Gertrude Meyer Kelsey, in Logansport, IN. She graduated college with an associate’s degree in library science and later worked as a librarian. Joyce was united in marriage to Arthur on December 28, 1965, in Winamac, IN.
Joyce enjoyed crafting, gardening, and reading. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
