David LaVern Joslyn, 71, of Manchester, died Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, surrounded by his family at the Regional Medical Center, Manchester. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at United Methodist Church, Manchester, with the Rev. Roger Henry officiating.Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester, with a 7:30 p.m. Pythian service and one hour before the service Thursday at the church. Interment with military rites: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Survivors include his wife, Lila Joslyn of Manchester; three daughters, Janel (Kelly) Smith of Manchester, Joy (John) Cook of Cedar Rapids, and Janan (Joe) Poduska of Manchester; one brother, Richard “Dick” (Kay) Joslyn of Florida; and one sister, Joyce Schiel of Manchester.
