Joshua Paul Usher, 49, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Jan. 4, 2023. Joshua was born to Cheryl (Christensen) Usher and Terry Usher on May 3, 1973.
Joshua will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. He put a lot of effort into getting a laugh with holiday decorating, art, costumes, playing pranks, and telling jokes. All who knew him, always laughed when he was around. Joshua’s favorite line was, “I can't wait for tomorrow because I get better looking every day.” Joshua enjoyed creating art, painting, trout fishing with his dad and spending time in his youth at the cabins.
Joshua was preceded in death by grandparents, Jeanne Christensen, Faye Christensen, and Loretta and Richard Usher; uncles, Randy Dunn and Tom Usher; and cousin, Brandy Dunn Harasmisz.
He is survived by parents, Cheryl Usher and Terry Usher; sister, Margret Rowden and her husband Wade; Grandpa Vernon “Hook” Christensen; dog Henry and cat Nacho; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 3, 2023. More details to follow. The family of Joshua, thanks you for your continued support and kind words during this time.
