It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our father, brother and friend, Joshua A. Carew. Joshua Carew, 62, passed away July 8, 2014, in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Joshua Carew is survived by his siblings, George Carew, Bertha Carew and Everett Carew. His legacy will continue with his surviving children, Krischan Payton, Selinya Carew, Joshua A. Carew, Bai-Kurr Carew, Joshua M. Carew, Betty Carew and Josetta Carew; cousins, nieces, nephews, grandkids, family, colleagues and friends.
His life will be celebrated on Aug. 17 at 2:30 p.m. in King Memorial United Methodist Church on Regent Road, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
In addition, a memorial service will be held in honor of Joshua Carew on Sept. 26 in Cedar Rapids.
