JOSEPH LORENC

Joseph W. Lorenc of Des Moines, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, after a short illness. Per Joe's request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
Joe was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on June 25, 1929, to Joe and Anne Lorenc.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie; his parents; and sisters, Martha and Charldean.
Joe retired in 1994 from A.G. Edwards as a stock and commodity broker and was a member of several organizations over his lifetime. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and enjoyed following the football and basketball teams, as well as the Chicago Cubs. Joe loved and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Dean) Hauschildt and Dennis (Leslie) Lorenc, all of Des Moines, and David (Donna) Lorenc from Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Ryan (Becky) Howell, Kim (Jeff) Tilley, Whitney (Jake) Tenboer, Chad (Sandy) Lorenc and Toby Lorenc; nine great-grandchildren; and younger brother, Robert (Maybelle) Lorenc of San Antonio, Texas.
