JOSEPH "JOE" ALBERT KUHN SR. Cedar Rapids Joseph "Joe" Albert Kuhn Sr., 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 12, 2021, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Patrick Catholic Church by the Rev. Ivan Nienhaus. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends are welcome to attend a Vigil Service for Joe at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home. Those not attending the Vigil Service may visit with the family from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Per COVID-19 guidelines, attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Joe is survived by his wife, Sharon; a daughter, Lisa (Alan) Bailey of The Villages, Fla.; four sons, Joseph (Renae) Kuhn Jr., Michael (Tammy) Kuhn and Steven Kuhn, all of Cedar Rapids, and Brian (Angie) Kuhn of Gainesville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Cody, Derek, Dustin, Taylor, Tara, Lydia, Emily, Kiara, Ashley and Heather; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Weston, Kinley and Lenyx; and a sister, Geraldine Borgstahl of Dubuque. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lyn; two brothers, Francis (Adella) Kuhn and Clarence (Pauline) Kuhn; two sisters, Lucille (John) Novotny and Marge (Leo) Morrissey; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Borgstahl. Joe was born in Fort Atkinson on Oct. 12, 1930, the son of Frank and Ottilla Soukup Kuhn. He married Sharon Streets on Oct. 4, 1958, in Cedar Rapids. Joe was a Korean War veteran and served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Joe retired in 1996 as a diesel Mechanic. He was a member of St. Patrick Church.
