Joseph Hamilton Hubbard, 87, of Des Moines, formerly of Marion, died Thursday evening, Sept. 24, 2015, at Wesley Acres in Des Moines. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Community Room at Wesley Acres, 3520 Grand Ave., Des Moines. As was his wish, Joe's body was donated to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He will later rest at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan; children, Jeff (Lucretia) Hubbard of Austin, Texas, Paul (Connie) Hubbard of Appleton, Wis., Nancy (Mike) Kammerer of Des Moines and Ann (Chris) Schwarck of Mason City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family with arrangements.
