Joseph W. Grove "Joe" died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at English Valley Care Center in North English.
Joe was born on a farm near South English, where he spent the next 93 years, interrupted only by four years of service to his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Katherine "Kay" McNeal in 1941 and they enjoyed 58 years together, working the farm where Joe was born, raising a family of three children, traveling, golfing, rock collecting, fishing, playing cards, dancing and wintering in Arizona for 20 years. After Kay passed away in 1999, he married Opal Ballard Beorkrem in 2001. They continued to live in the Grove family farmhouse near South English until they moved together to Valley View Assisted Living in North English in 2012.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Esther Claypool.
The family is grateful for the kind and loving support of the community and thanks all those who contributed to Joe's care in his last years.
