Jordan, Robert D.
Robert D. Jordan, 92, of Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Center Point, Iowa, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 18, 2011. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at Murdoch Funeral Home, Center Point. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point.
He was born June 25, 1919, to Lynn and Nina (Wood) Jordan in Toddville. Bob was a farmer most of his life. During World War II, he served in the Army in Germany. He earned a silver star for single-handedly taking out a tank.
Bob was a Christian man and a member of United Methodist Church. He knew what it was like to walk with Jesus. Bob spent the latter years of his live enjoying the little things, mostly his family. He will be greatly missed by all.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rosita Jordan of Little Rock; sister, Dorothy McNiel of Bonnerville, Ark.; and six children, John of Davenport, Max of Independence, Dale of Marion, Rick of Kansas City, Kimberly of Little Rock and Richard Ageter of Texas.
He also had 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many others who loved him.
Waiting in heaven were his parents and eight siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
