Jordan J. Powers, 32, of Wilton, formerly of Cedar Rapids and Monticello, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where there will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Michelle Jeffords, and stepfather, Sean Janssen of Monticello; his father, Eric Jeffords of Cedar Rapids; brother, Chance Janssen of Monticello; grandparents, Trish and Jim Janssen of Monticello, Jim and Marci Powers of Albia, Donna and Denny Schroeder of Cedar Rapids and Rosie Jeffords; special friend, Staci; many aunts, uncles and cousins; Steve Meyer; and the entire Junction Grill and Bar family.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, John Hook, Betsy Hartson and Rollie Jeffords; and two cousins, Angel and Savannah.
Jordan was born May 15, 1986, in Cedar Rapids. He was employed as a chef at the Junction Grill and Bar for several years. He enjoyed collecting baseball hats, and was an avid fan of the Duke Blue Devils, the Lakers and the Jets football team.
Jordan will be forever remembered as a wonderful son, brother, grandson and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
