Jordan, Ethel E. 'Pat'
Ethel E. “Pat” Jordan, 82, a resident of Silver Pines Assisted Living, Cedar Rapids, died there Friday, June 4, 2010. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include six children, Shari (Don) Lovell, Peggy (Don) Berns, Ken (Sue) Jordan, Mike (Ginger) Jordan, Deb (George) Marsh and Steven (Lu Ann) Jordan; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son-in-law, Harold Goodlove; a grandson, Jonathan Jordan; and nine brothers and sisters.
Pat was born Nov. 24, 1927, the daughter of Olin Roy and Ethel S.E. (Taylor) Powers, in Tipton, Iowa. She married Earl LeRoy Jordan on Jan. 21, 1947. He died Jan. 9, 1994. Pat loved flowers but the most important thing in her life was her family.
A memorial fund has been established in Pat's memory.
