Jones, Nancy Lee
Nancy Lee Jones, 58, of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. She passed away at home with her family around her. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment: Private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Bradley D. Jones; a son, Jamie Douglas Jones and wife Jamie of Marion; her grandson, Connor Jones; her mother, Kathryn Howrey of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Lonnie Alff and Mary Ann Dondels; and two brothers, Bill Howrey and Colin Howrey.
She was preceded in death by a son, Sean Jones; her father, Clyde K. Howrey; and a brother, Bobby Howrey.
Nancy was born Oct. 3, 1952, in Anamosa, the daughter of Clyde and Kathryn Howrey. She married Bradley D. Jones on April 11, 1966, in Cedar Rapids. Nancy was employed with Pitney Bowes as a mail sorter and loved her job and the people she worked with. Nancy's hobbies were spending time with family, her grandson, planting flowers, yard work and cooking for family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Luke's Hospice for the loving care they gave to Nancy.
