Jones, Alan D.
Alan D. Jones, 59, of 79 E. Clark St., Hiawatha, Iowa, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Graveside services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Bill Harnish. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy; children, Brittany (Juan) Jones, Echo (Alfredo) Angeles, Felicia Gerlach, Kandis Gerlach and James, and Tina Webster; grandchildren, Mariana Angeles, Erick Angeles, Brittany Harris, Stephanie Harris and Leonard Webster; sisters, Leeann Hildenbrand, Connie Phillips and Dolores (Michael) Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
Born April 3, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Alan was the son of David and Leona (Henderson) Jones. He served his country in the U.S. Army. On Oct. 26, 1990, he was united in marriage to Cathy Ryan. Alan worked as a security guard.
A memorial fund has been established in Alan's memory.
