JONATHAN DALE

Jonathan Jay Adrian Dale, 53, of Mount Vernon, passed away April 29, 2015, in an automobile accident in Cedar Rapids.
Born in Colorado to Marcia and Michael Dale, Jon grew up in Long Lake, Minn. He was a graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato and was em-ployed at Hy-Vee.
Devoted to his children, Magdalena "Maggie" and Adrian, Jon also was a fine musician who enjoyed classic rock, a skilled woodworker and a lover of nature. He was a sensitive and kind person known for his friendliness and helpfulness.
In addition to his parents and children, Jonathan is survived by his brother, Christopher, Long Lake, Minn.; grandmother, Annabelle Dale, Spring Park, Minn.; former wife, Katharine, Lisbon; and special, loving friend, Amy Johnson, Cedar Rapids.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, May 10, at the library of the First Street Community Center in Mount Vernon. Jon will be interred in Minnesota with funeral services there.
