Johnson, Leon Doug
Leon Doug Johnson, 57, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Marshalltown Veteran Home after a long illness. Graveside service: 3 p.m. Friday, Oak Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Leon Johnson of Cedar Rapids, and Tyrone Johnson, of Iowa City; one brother, Michael (Cinda) Johnson of Cedar Rapids; five sisters, Evelina Johnson and Hilda Dawson of Cedar Rapids, Susan West of Rochester, Minn., Tracy Dawson of Kansas City Mo., and Jane (Howard) Dennis of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Raymond; two sisters, Phyllis and Edwina; and a brother, Kelley.
Leon was born in Cedar Rapids on Dec. 31, 1954.He was a graduate of Washington High School. He attended Hamilton Business College. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family.
