Johnson, Georgia Ann
Georgia Ann Johnson, born in Anamosa, Iowa to George and V. Marie (Knott) Clark on Dec. 20, 1932, passed from this earth on Nov. 17, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy; and her husband and best friend, James A. Johnson, who passed in 1997.
She is survived by a brother, George “Bug” Clark of Arizona; her four children, Marsha (Greg) Royer of Washington state, Denise Belford of Arkansas, Sheila (George) Pirtle of Cedar Rapids and Brian (Kim) Klinefelter of Fairfax.
Georgia was a much loved Grandma to Danica Allen, Chelsea Koehler, Ezra and Justine Wright, Charles, Josh and Gideon White, Amanda Essou, and Emily and Jared Klinefelter. She was “Grandma Grandma” (great-grandma) to Logan, Lucas, Riley, Hunter, Gunner, Noah, Dylan, Ethan, Autumn, Emmha Jade, Diamond, Wyatt, Avigail, Kaitlyn, Hannah and Melia.
She loved nothing more than ALL of her babies, regardless of our ages.
To her special helper, Emmha, whom she loved so much, thank you. To her daughter, Sheila, thank you from all of us for your extraordinary care of Mom.
Georgia enjoyed fishing, laughing, calling and playing bingo with her friends at The Meadows apartments, and occasional visits to casinos and Arizona. She worked at Rockwell before her retirement.
There will be no services at her request. Arrangements were handled by Iowa Cremation.
The family wishes to thank them, Dr. Jolynn Glanzer, St. Luke's Hospital and the great nurses on the 5th floor, and St. Luke's Hospice for their compassionate care of Mom and our family.
Be at peace, Mom, you live on in all of us.
Online condolences may be left at under “obituaries.”
