Johnson, Dennis LaVern

Dennis LaVern Johnson, 55, of Manchester, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, with a 3 p.m. Scripture service at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Manchester. Additional visitation: one hour before services Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.

Dennis was born Aug. 12, 1958, the son of Everett and Mildred (Robinson) Johnson. He graduated from West Delaware High School in 1976 and then attended Ellsworth Community College and UNI. On July 2, 1983, Dennis was united in marriage to Becky Weber at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Becky; two children, Nick Johnson (fiancee Mackenzie Burger) of Kansas City, Mo., and Lindsey (Adam) Grubb of Marion; his parents, Everett and Mildred Johnson of Manchester; one sister, Denise Heims of Coggon; and his mother-in-law, Clarice Weber of Manchester.

Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his father-in-law, LeRoy Weber.
