Johnse Jorge Bushlack, 45, of Marion, died Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Flagstaff Medical Center in Arizona. Services: 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, at New Covenant Bible Church. Burial: Oakshade Cemetery, Marion. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church.
Johnse is survived by his loving wife, Lauren Bushlack; children, Micah and Jacey Bushlack; parents, George and Judy Bushlack, all of Marion; siblings, Jeremy (Loretta) Bushlack of Central City, Johanna (Bryan) Fentress, and Josiah (Betsy) Bushlack; parents-in-law, Jeff and Sherry, all of Marion; sister-in-law, Alexa (David) Kirby of Cedar Rapids; and brother-in-law, David Sloan of Marion.
Johnse was preceded in death by his infant son, Samuel Judah Bushlack; sister, Jody Sloan; and nephew, Max Bushlack.
Johnse was born on May 22, 1979, son of George and Judy Johnson Bushlack, in Cedar Rapids. He married Lauren Auld on May 14, 2005, in Cedar Rapids. Johnse attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing. He was currently working in the marketing department of Collins Aerospace. Johnse was a member of the New Covenant Bible Church.
Johnse enjoyed fishing, golfing, and practicing archery. He loved spending time outdoors at his pond, where he recorded videos for his YouTube channel, New Nature Adventures. He also liked to grill and was known as the “grill master”. Most of all, Johnse loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed family time on Sunday nights.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a donation to the charity of their choice.
