JOHN W. PEPPER

John W. Pepper, 86, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at UnityPoint Hospice-St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Private inurnment was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
John is survived by his two children:
his son, Jeff (Jan) of Valdosta, Ga.; and his, daughter, Melanie (Brett) Mangold of
Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren; three
step-grandchildren; his sisters, Ethel and Caroline; and his brother, Richard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joyce; and his second wife, Betty; his sister, Grace; and his brother, Robert (Bob).
John was born on March 15, 1936, in Washington County, Iowa, the son of William Walter and Helen (Duttlinger) Pepper. John worked 30-plus years at Rockwell Collins, served 21 years in the Iowa Army National Guard, and was active with the Soap Box Derby for several years. He enjoyed square dancing, snow-birding in Florida, and putzing around his yard and woodshop. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's memory to the American Cancer Society or UnityPoint Hospice.
