John was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Washington High School in 1977.
He was a longtime printing press operator and service technician. He also bartended for many years around the Cedar Rapids area, including Werni's, The Red Frog, The Left Bank and Mahoney's.
John loved life and lived it on his terms, always with a hearty laugh and a good story.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Barbara Prange.
He is survived by his loving sister, Mary Prange; his aunt, Alys Henderson of Manchester; and his longtime love, Sue Bliss.
Come enjoy a cocktail and share a story on Saturday, July 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Little Bohemia.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
