John Michael Floyd, 66, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at his home following an extended illness. The family is at peace knowing that John is finally at rest from his battle with multiple sclerosis and many other health issues. Military rites will be conducted by the Ray and Virginia Boyer American Legion Post 166 and the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors at 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
