John LeRoy Tilton, 84, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, surrounded by family at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. The family will hold a private ceremony on January 24, 2025, with burial at a later date. With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family.
John was born on October 29, 1940, to Orville and Mildred Dudley in Moravia, Iowa. Later in his young childhood he was adopted by Earl and Essa Tilton of Humeston, Iowa.
In 2005 he was united in marriage to Mary Alyce Greenlee. They were lucky to spend 36 wonderful years together.
John is survived by his beloved wife Mary, daughter Tracy Tilton-Wubbena and friend John Simons, grandson Blythe Wubbena and friend Adrianna Guerrero, daughter Brenda (Mario) Lewis, grandson Levi Burroughs, great-grandchildren Easton and Emberlyn Wubbena, Adrianna's daughters Oshynn and Aniyah, all of Iowa Falls.
To greet him in the afterlife are his parents, father- and mother-in-law, beloved pets Penny, Fido and Maslo.
