John Lawrence Forde, 64, of Marion, passed away on Feb. 4, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
John was born on March 17, 1958, in Decorah, Iowa, the son of Lawrence and Ruth (Throndson) Forde. He had worked as a printing machine operator. John enjoyed camping and fishing as well as sharing his knowledge of camping and fishing. His hobbies also included metal working, collecting antiques and playing the bass guitar. When he was younger, John liked playing tennis and riding his bicycle.
Survivors include his daughter Rachel Forde of St. Paul, Minn.; sister, Mary Roberts of Maiden Rock, Wis.; brothers, Vernon Forde of Winter, Wis., Dan Forde of Portland, Ore., and Gary Forde of Cedar Rapids; and nieces, Chelsea Jacobson, Nichole Forde, Lisa Roberts and Jesse Roberts.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
