John L. Faison, 73, of Marion, formerly of the Iowa City/North Liberty area, died Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at his residence in Marion, where he has lived.

John was born June 20, 1947, in Florida, he has been in this area since the 1980s. Born with Intellectual disability, John didn't let that knock the wind out of his sails. If you ever had the honor of meeting John, you met a man that you would never forget. His smile, laugh and positive view on the world was simply over the top. He loved Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, singing along to the Beatles, He would always find ways to keep his caretakers on their toes. He has lived a good life because of all the support he has received over the years, many would have thrown in the towel many years sooner, but John's attitude and the support he had carried him a long way in this world.

John would want to thank you himself for all of this! Thank you, Renee (Debbie) My given name to her my Guardian for being the most loving and caring person in my life. To The Rescue for taking me back into services after my accident. All the staff that has come in and out of my life. I am truly blessed to have you in my life as I was in yours. This not goodbye, this is see you on the other side. Johnny.
