John Allison Kammerer III, 45, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 23, 2015, at his home. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home by Penny Ackerman. Friends may visit with the family after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
John is survived by his son, Ezra Ryker Kammerer of Keota; his mother, Kathy; a sister, Karla Kammerer-Shedd (Paul Shedd) of Riverside; his grandmother, Loretta Baxter of Lakeland, Fla.; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; Ezra's mother, Becky Skinner of Keota; and Ezra's half brother and half sisters.
John was preceded in death by his father, John "Jack" Kammerer II, who died July 13, 2015;, his grandparents, John and Evelyn Kammerer; and grandfather, Russell Baxter.
John was born on Aug. 29, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Kathleen Baxter Kammerer II. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1988.
John loved his son, Ezra, and enjoyed working with computers.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be used for Ezra's education.
