JOHN THOMAS (JOHN BOY) WALTON

John Thomas Walton (John Boy), 64, eldest son of Donald and Alice (Coobs) Walton, died in his cab on Feb. 4, 2018 in Cedar Rapids.
John graduated from Marion High School in 1971, and from Coe College with a degree in art in 1975. John had many jobs in his lifetime, but what he loved the most was creating amazing tattoos from Iowa to California, especially in Santa Rosa, where he lived for many years.
John loved to spend time fishing and camping and hosting meals, especially on holidays.
Left behind are brothers, Ken of Marshalltown, and Don (Tree) and Mark Walton, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; as well as three nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Francine (Walton) Pompeo; and his lady, Joy Ann Nederhoff.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Just Coz, 400 Sixth St. SW, Cedar Rapids.
