John “Jack” Clement Kriz, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospital. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. (noon) until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Judy; his sister, Carolyn Enzler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Joseph Enzler.
John was born Nov. 16, 1939, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Clement and Anne (Andersen) Kriz. He married Judy Ford on Oct. 22, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. John was employed with Northwestern Bell for 32 years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of E-5 Sergeant. John was a master woodworker and loved watersports owning several boats. He was a member of Communications Workers of America. He was devoted to his family and much loved.
