John Franks Hilton Jr., 92, passed away April 20, 2022, in San Angelo, Texas.
He was born May 24, 1929, in Newport, R.I., to John Franks Hilton Sr. and Violet Mary Dawson Hilton. John raised in the Florida Keys and at 17, enlisted in the Navy as a boatswain's mate. He served 30 years and retired as chief warrant officer 3. John married Evelyn Maree Adams Johnson in Santa Fe, N.M., on Jan. 4, 1984.
John is survived by his wife, Evelyn; sons, John Hilton III and wife, Lucy, of Charleston, S.C., and David Hilton and wife, Pamela of San Angelo; also five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
John will be laid to rest in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
